FAQ (Android)



1. How to send email of receipts?
Tap “Share”->”Email” on the “Reports” tab.

2. How to export .csv report?
Tap “Share”->”Email” on the “Reports” tab, the .csv file should be the attachment of the email.

3. How to see the details (e.g. who paid for how much) of the receipts?
Tap “Share”->”Email” on the “Reports” tab, the email shows the details.

4. How to make advance/cash/partial payments to offset balances?

5. What does "X should pay next" mean?
"X should pay next" means that X has the most negative balance now so that he/she should pay next time in order to reduce/clear his/her debts.

6. What does "Coefficient" mean?
"Coefficient" means how many people the person represents in even splits (default is 1). For example, if A's coefficient is 2, then it means that A will be responsible for 2 people in even splits. If there are A and B in the even split and the amount is $30, then A will be responsible for $20, and B will be responsible for $10 instead of a $15- $15. This is useful for couples/family and only one person is paying for the group.

7. What does inactive member mean?
Once a member is set as inactive, he/she won't be included for future splits. This may happen when some members leave the group but they had shared expenses with others.

8. Why does it say "No event to sync"?
Because you haven't synced any events and there's no event that shared with you either. To sync an event, you can tap "Events"->long tap the event name->"Sync" or you can select "Sync" when creating a new event.

9. I synced an event with my friend, but he/she cannot receive it on his/her device. What happened?
We use Gmail account on the device to identify users, so please make sure you enter the same Gmail address as your friend would use to sync on his/her device when you sync the event. Please let us know if the problem still exists even you used the same Gmail address.

  3. When you enter a evenly split receipt that doesn't split evenly (ie their are fractions of a penny involved) the App gets confused and produces reports that don't add up.

    I entered an evenly split receipt for £25 to be shared between 9 people (4 couples and 1 single guy).

    Between all the rounding errors an extra 2p was added somewhere. ie the debt part added up to 2p more than the paid amount! In subsequent reports it appeared as though the App couldn't add up!

    To sort it out I had to manually go into the split and let the odd person off 1p.

    Is this a bug?

      You can download the pics by sharing the report by email (tap "Share" on the right corner of the "Reports" page). The pics will be attached to the email. You can also upload the pics to the cloud (Dropbox or Google Drive).

  6. Hi,
    First, I would like to say thanks for your great app! :)

    I would like to know if there is a way to synchronise merchant data with people sharing the same event! Make sense to have the same merchants on all people on the same event as to create a new one will use same info.
    Maybe you can consider for future versions an option to synch it or not.

  8. Hi. I love this application. I use it with my girlfriend. Just a thing negative, we aren't be able to sync our count, we use the same gmail account but it doesn't work... And worth, when we try to back-up the event, we have the same event duplicated. Please help us

      Glad to know that you love the app. What happens when you sync using the same Gmail account? Did you see if the sync was successful? Also where did you back up the event to when you have the duplication (Dropbox, Google Drive, or SD card)?

  10. Hi dev team, we had a synced account an the data is lost somehow in one phone and now the server contains no receipts. Luckily we had an SD card backup but the sync is not working after the restore. Instead of updating the empty server event copy with the restored one, its updating the device with the empty server event. What to do?

  12. I had An event with a lot of info, but its gone...... Is there An option it is back upped somewhere? If ibopen the app now i only get An empty event1.
